12/1/12 The solar panel project at De Anza College is nearly complete and designers hope to turn on the electricity-saving devices in mid-December. The estimates savings is roughly $250,000 per year when the panels go into pull production.

AT&T Will Use Bloom Boxes in Data Centers 7/14/11
Telecommunications giant AT&T will install Bloom Energy fuel cells at 11 sites in California, including some of the companies' data centers and network facilities. The company will use Bloom Energy Servers – known as "Bloom boxes" – to supply 7.5 megawatts of power at its properties.

Yosemite National Park runs on sunlight 7/27/11
Yosemite National Park's lush flora have run on solar energy for millions of years. Now, the park's human inhabitants are following suit and using the sun's rays to run their facilities. The park will dedicate its 672-kilowatt solar panel system in El Portal just outside the park's boundaries. The 8-by-12-foot solar panels are squeezed onto almost every available space on the roofs and sides of buildings, as well as the roofs of carports and parking garages at Yosemite's El Portal Administrative Complex.
